Once a year, local teachers perform in a benefit concert to fund the Suzanne Brown Student Aid Fund. Admission is by donation.

2025 Ribbon Festival Theme

Students create artwork, t-shirt designs, and original compositions!
Students may earn ribbons for the following categories:​​

Solo - on any instrument, memorized or with music.

Original Compositions - these must be notated by the student. They will perform and receive feedback from (TBA).

Ensembles - You may notice not only playing with peers or their teacher, but some will perform with their mom or dad!

2025 Musical Activity - TBA

Musical Art - all sorts of creativity is encouraged. Be sure to view the display of students' visual art with a musical theme in the lobby.

"Syllabus is a music curriculum that covers technique, music theory, sight reading, rhythm reading, and repertoire. The ten levels of Syllabus are graduated in difficulty and challenge students to achieve musical goals. After completion of a level, students can opt to be assessed by a master teacher who provides a helpful critique."
